A CLASS FOR PEOPLE OVER 55
October 13- December 6, 2026
A class for people over 55 seeking to improve balance and equilibrium, calm their minds, rejuvenate their spirits, and walk peacefully. Learn ways to respond to your environment with more awareness, with the ability to center yourself, relax, maintain good posture, and control your breathing. No strenuous movement. Slow movement, not strenuous. The focus is on mobility, posture, and breath control. No falling; please wear loose-fitting clothing.
INSTRUCTOR: Michael Friedl is a licensed physical therapist, chief instructor, and owner of Aikido of Ashland. He has over 50 years of Aikido experience. Aikido is a unique martial art because it emphasizes a peaceful approach to conflict resolution. Its principles apply to many situations we face in daily life.
WHEN: Starting Tuesday, October 13th
SESSION: 8 Tuesdays October 13– December 6, 2026 (No class Tuesday, November 10th)
TIME: 10:30 -11:30 AM
FEE: $120

The CAA Division 2 Friendship Training is on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Aikido West.
We encourage you pre-register online.

The cost of $40 for the full seminar. Morning or afternoon session $25.

If you cannot pre-register, you can register in person on Saturday.
The dojo will open at 9 AM for check-in. Fees at the door $20/class. $35 for 1/2 day, $50 for the full seminar. You can pay by check (payable to Aikido of Ashland) or cash. Classes will begin at 10 AM.
